I’m at work chilling. I’m doing a software update which is 3 parts and takes two hours so it’s pretty nice lol. I’m ready to get out of here and go hangout with my friend since my parents had a funeral viewing to go to 4 hours away and I didn’t want to go and have to come back at 2am to get right back up and go to work.

Relaxing back at the Hotel after a day at the track here in Gainesville for the NHRA PRO testing session. The testing is closed to the public this year, apparently to reduce the workload on the staff...

I think it's yet another questionable decision, as the more interest that's generated, the better it is for the future of the sport.

A couple highlights.

I went to my colonoscopy follow up appointment with my gastroenterologist this morning, I drove an hour and 20 minutes there and an hour and 20 minutes back. The appointment was less than a minute, he basically told me what I already knew and he easily could have done the follow up over the phone This doctor has to be in his 80s, so he’s still from that old school mentality where he needs to meet all of his patients face to face (or face to bum!)

Now I know it doesn't exist as real racing, but I would like to see something like a demolition derby mario Kart Style Racing. Objects thrown on the racetrack to try to hinder the competition. It would be kind of neat to see the crowd be able to throw over old recliners and boxes as obstacles. You said you wanted to get more people involved, that would do it. I think that's why a lot more people are interested in ice hockey basketball or football. The fans have more interaction and there's just a different breed of fan that goes to a hockey game

Surprisingly warmer than anticipated. Went for a ride to see the sights. The moose are really active lately.

Of course everyone has their own likes and dislikes. I will be the first to say that watching Fuel cars on TV or Youtube, absolutely does not do them justice. Once a person hears, smells, and FEELS these cars up close in-person, most with any kind of interest in cars, develop an appreciation for these ridiculous machines.

Anyway, a new top speed was achieved by a Top Fuel Dragster, today. It doesn't qualify as a record, as it's only testing, not during competition.

Picking up stuff that needs to go. Found a few nearly empty bottles of automotive bottles i usually keep just to drain my oil siphoning pump into for recycling. Had fun standing back a bit and trying difficult shots to the respective receptacles. I kind of get into it! I usually call out "Luka or Kobe" as I take a fade away jumper or I know look shot or a hook shot to the trash can.

Listening all the taps running in our house. The water district just finished fixing a mainline break in front of our neighbor's house and now there is a lot of air in our lines... probably a lot of dirt, too.
