What are you doing right now?

Just brought a jar of all quarters and dimes to the credit union to put in the coin machine. Had $57.15 towards my savings. I’m getting serious about trying to pay off everything and save up money. It’s all just money I found cleaning my room. They charge more fee there than Coinstar so next time I’ll go to Coinstar. 5% at the credit union and 3% at Coinstar last time I checked. I didn’t even feel like counting the pennies or nickels lol. I’m trying to save all my pennies since they aren’t made anymore.
Could have had a $10K coin in that load of change. There are some coins floating around that are worth lots of money to collectors.

Hitting up this thread and prepped my brain to go to the Korean grocery store the day before a snow storm. Miss Phayao 1974 wants meat and curry "just in case". Geeze, rushing to the store before a snow storm isn't an American cultural phenomena, it's universal.

Yes unfortunately. Had I known I would have went to Coinstar instead for a lesser fee. The old bank we had didn’t charge a fee till they got bought out. I guess all of them charge fees these days.
I filled a one gallon water jug with nickels, dimes, and quarters a few years ago. it was one of those bottles that looked like a mini water cooler jug. I took it to the bank and they wouldn't accept it in the jug. Looked kind goofy standing in line with that lol. They gave me 2 massive bank grade zip-lock bags specifically for large amounts of coins. I cut the jug open in my car and filled the bags up. It took them over a week to process the coins and show up in my account.

It came to $400, so that was a nice win. It took me like about 5 years to fill that jug, I should find one and start again. One for pennies and one for 5 cents and up.

Got tired of always having to move this trimmer out of my way constantly so I put a deck screw in the wall and hung it. It has a hole on the bottom just for this.
