What are you doing right now?

Getting excited about a certain new store opening soon in my neighborhood.

Preparing for the snow storm.
  1. Earlier today I topped off the snow blower with 90 octane E0.
  2. Next I started both the snow blower and generator and ran them for three minutes.
  3. For the grand finale I put the generator battery on the charger.
Both of my boys are working Sunday which means that I will likely blow the driveway before they leave, then again before they return and one more time when it is all over.

I’m riding around seeing the stores and gas stations wrapped around the buildings with people preparing for the snow storm. We are off on Monday and most likely Tuesday too as it’s only supposed to be 5 degrees on Tuesday so nothing is going to melt or get any better. I’m not a fan of staying home but I’ll do anything for a paid day off from work lol.

It's not supposed to go above freezing all week.
I went to the old fashioned small hardware store. Drove by several shopping centers and the grocery store parking lots were packed. I think everyone left work early in a panic to get bread and milk. More than normal 2pm Friday traffic. Guy on the radio said his wife called and there was no eggs, bread, or spinach in the grocery store. Wow, even a run on spinach.

I’m eating a few bowls of Honey Comb and waiting for the snow. We went to the store earlier to get some dog food and distilled water and luckily found both. The distilled water was all out in the food section so my mom went to the baby section and it was fully stocked. An employee told her that no one had even gotten one of the jugs there the whole time. I guess most people don’t realize that they have it there too.

Battling rats. The usual.
My Grandparent's Doberman use to catch rats in their barn and rip them in half with a violent shake of her head. She was nuts hunting rats - super quick. All I had to say was "let's get some rats" while walking to the barn and she was all jacked up for it.

I like the very small dark honey comb cause they have extra flavor.

Watching some youtube vids, poking around with some Arduino code (debating how I want to break up the file), and procrastinating, as it's like -5F/-21C and I really don't feel like taking trash to the transfer station--but tomorrow might be worse, when it's both cold and snowing. I'd stay indoors all day today but we actually have some plans, and I wish we didn't.
