Preparing for the impending winter storm by making my sons bring in about a face cord of firewood…up 18 stairs, take off shoes, down 3 stairs, then put it in the firewood rack next to the woodstove. The complaints and whining taste like candy. 
The only one not complaining is the 4 year old and he’s lugging two pieces of wood every trip; I’m proud of the little guy.

I used to do a bunch of gun work and sales in the Chicago area years ago...they were all Polish....
Like a club in Philadelphia....all Italian....they only would deal with other Italians too...unlike the Polish folks they hated each other...nothing but gossip and bad gossip

That was an every day event in my childhood as I was just beneath the farm animals as far as worth to the family....I LITERALLY told them to look at it as a character building exercise
Kudos to Mayre. My grandparents immigrated from Poland in the early 1900's. I have a copy of my grandmothers citizenship papers. They all did it the right way.
