I used to do a bunch of gun work and sales in the Chicago area years ago...they were all Polish....I was born in the U.S. to parents from Poland, have dual citizenship and both U.S. and Polish passports.
Being miserable builds character! Or is that characters?Preparing for the impending winter storm by making my sons bring in about a face cord of firewood…up 18 stairs, take off shoes, down 3 stairs, then put it in the firewood rack next to the woodstove. The complaints and whining taste like candy.The only one not complaining is the 4 year old and he’s lugging two pieces of wood every trip; I’m proud of the little guy.

Kudos to Mayre. My grandparents immigrated from Poland in the early 1900's. I have a copy of my grandmothers citizenship papers. They all did it the right way.Mine too but that was a very long time ago

Started out at 4f degrees and nearly hit 40 degrees which was a great help as I had a bunch of machine work to do in my unheated shop and I don't like running the tools in too cold of weather.
