When we were waiting at the air terminal to come home my wife (a nurse) spotted a family with children who she said had a fever. She could tell just by looking at them that they were very sick. We had to travel with them on the plane. They were in the rear and we were up front but it really doesn't matter.

Well you just hit on it. I actually blame idiots who travel sick more than carriers and airports. Sick? Stay home!

My wife worked in a public elementary school for a 7 year stretch... didn't get sick once. Her immune system must have risen to the challenge.

My wife wasn't a nurse, HIM specialist (Masters Degree). She has plenty of empathy. "You're NOT going to die!!" being a statement example.

My ex wife was an elementary school teacher for 27 years and has a weak immune system. She was always sick when she was teaching but since she retired a couple of years ago she rarely gets sick anymore.
