What are you doing right now?

Fixing a $250 Logitech G915 wireless gaming keyboard due to the 'A' key not working. I'm typing this post on said keyboard so it survived the repair.

Checking for continuity in the letter a keyswitch. The trusty crusty Innova 3320 for non-auto stuff lol. Also checked neighboring switches to isolate the single switch.

'A' printed on the PCB quickly led me to the defective switch. Desolder the two solder points and it comes right off.

Generic key switches from Amazon. There are Kailh switches which Logitech uses from the factory.

New switch soldered in. 'A' key works now saving my $250 keyboard bought back in March 2021. Just need to source a new battery as the old one hasn't turned into a spicy pillow and Logitech's site does not list replacement parts.

I’m just eating some cheesecake and reading the forum. I don’t want to work tomorrow lol. I got some new stuff at Walmart and ordered me some Jovan Musk because I really miss my Musk scent Speed Stick so I’m hoping Jovan smells similar to it. I guess if it does I’ll become a full time cologne guy instead of a once every 5 years cologne guy lol. I have a Polo Red and Abercrombie and Fitch Fierce bottles of cologne from probably 10 years ago when Kohls had them on sale. And then my aftershave is Mennen Skin Bracer. So I’m excited for my cologne to arrive. I almost bought some Stetson Legend at Walmart on sale for $11 from $40 but I couldn’t smell it as it was sealed up so I didn’t want to blindly buy it.

I just caught up on this thread today. Lots and lots of reading to get to this point!

The most popular topic is deodorant. I’ve never met anyone who collects it 😆. That’s a cool hobby - I collect vintage sports cards (pictures of men on cardboard) so who am I to judge!!

I’m late 40’s and always used the Gillette gel - it’s harder to find but still exists. One of them generally lasted me about a year. Since the pandemic, though, I have switched to natural deodorants and I recently started using Schmidt’s and it works great.

Anyway, this weekend I took down our fence panels. I had already purchased 6 nice cedar 6x8 panels from a company up in Chemainus - really high quality and thick compared to the box stores. I was going to re-use the existing 4x4 posts but found they were a bit loose and ended up pulling them and installing all new yesterday. The panels will go up another day.

We had help from my mother in law and her husband so took them to dinner at Montana’s.

I did a bit of staining on the gate today (not replacing it but it took about 5 hours to sand). I’m using a natural oil-based stain that has a lot of linseed oil. My wife and I then took my daughter to a place called “Mr. Tubbs”. They sell ice cream, which we had, but also have a bunch of old-style games that spit out tickets which the kids can use to buy prizes.

I’m also slowly getting my office organized, as my job is switching to full time work at home on Oct 1, other than when I travel.
