What are you doing right now?

Finishing up a tough morning. Eighteen years ago, when I retired, we had a kitten adopt us. Just the wife and I at home. This was the start of the "empty nest." Son's had married and moved on starting their lives. So, The tiny (barley year old cat) dropped a litter of (4) babies. We gave all away but one. So, we been caring for a providing two of them with a very good life. Pet door to go in and out of garage (not allowed in house). Somehow. Wife promptly comes home from church and runs over one of them around 0930am. Definitely broken back and she was suffering bad. crying and trying to crawl. I called all over and no vets open on Sunday. Not even county animal shelter.
I could not allow the poor thing to suffer. She was actually looking like going into shock. I had no choice. Put her comfortable in a box with some towels. Took her out to the woods and I had to put her out of her pain n misery. I have had to do the same thing to a cat many years ago that got caught up in my dads truck engine. That time it did not affect me at all. This one has been my sidekick since 2008. I had no idea and often rolled my eyes when I heard of people being so affected losing a pet. Now I get it. Of course many of them did not have to do what I had to do about an hour ago. I tried best I could after making her comfortable. I put a 9mm round in the back of her head and buried her in some woods near home. It is just strange. I got up , fed them this am. Now we are down to one left. It all happened so fast. Now the toughest part is to stop the wife from being miserable and feeling ever so guilty. Accidents happen.
Wow, that's rough. Give your wife a hug or 10.

I thought you already moved and then you didn’t. Now a trip. With 3 computers and a huge compressor and a gun. My mind reals…..reels…. Actually I think you are secretly running away with AMs mom.
Stop snorting the Amsoil

Just left Lowe’s cleaned out the 99 cent sockets that they are closing out. And then went to Sonic and got drinks. Dad has the app for all day happy hour. We ordered two drinks ended up with 5 because someone canceled their order so they are like you want a free peach slushy and 2 free Dr. Pepper. We said sure and found a homeless person so gave them one and kept the other. They were very appreciative.

How is Sonic food ?

I’ve never eaten there and driven by many Sonics.

Identified that the plug I put into a tire is leaking. Debating if I want to buy new set of tires (no) or put on the snows (maybe) (since the snows need replacing anyhow). Tired of adding air to this tire so will do something at some point today about it.

Did you use the reamer thing to rough up the hole and also use contact cement/glue on the plug before installing it?

Right now, I am catching my breath after helping / motivating my old pal to clean his 2003 Ford Crown Victoria for sale.
135k, 4.6l 4R70W, hideously rough black (hood + roof) w/beige leather.

Settled, under-tree dirt required softening, thumbnail scratching and another wash afterwards.
I serviced all 5 tires, secured the jack and added a T-wrench. New tires would be dreamy.
Drives OK for a relic...shocks, good...shifts fine...strong AC.
No cabin filter in an '03CV.

After 2.5 hours of tutelage, I left him to the interior.
I loaned him a "Dirt Devil" to suck up whisked dirt rows....after explaining what a whisk broom was.

Just got done with laundry. Dad needs help with his truck air conditioning so I’m going to do that then go to Walmart. Mom asked if I’d get the family a few new towels since ours are all worn out and getting holes in them I said sure. I think I’m going to get red and blue because we have several other ones except red and dark blue.

One last load of clothes to dry...
Dryer dies....26 years old no repairs
However I have a good home warranty company. When I get back I need to get it fixed.... I knew something was going to fail
