What are you doing right now?

I don’t see an issue being in the same room lol. Maybe I need an expert opinion though. None of my friends think it’s weird but all the grown men seem too haha.

Are your friends married or in adult relationships? If not, that explains why they don't think it's weird.

I can tell you that when my daughter was dating as an adult, with an eye towards finding a husband, she was looking for a young man who could take care of himself. An adult man living at home with their folks is a red flag to most women. It was to my wife and her friends. It was to my daughter and her friends. Also my sisters, nieces, etc, etc.

If you want a girlfriend and marriage, you need to be viewed by women as a suitable, self-sufficient partner.

I hope this doesn't come off as harsh, but it is the reality.

I lived at home with my parents until the day I was married. I had lots of women that didn't care. Of course that was some time ago and I think things have changed.
I think a lot of them nowadays realize that the cost of living has skyrocketed especially for one person so most probably accept it for now. The women I’ve talked too have seemed ok with it but then again I see that none of those were successful encounters.

For the last year that I lived at home with my parents my girlfriend actually moved in with me there. We were saving up to buy a house though and we moved out around the same time that I turned 30 into a brand new townhouse and we were married a few months after that.

My parents lent all of us (four kids) the downpayments for our first houses, which we were expected to pay back the first time the mortgage came up for renewal. My dad saw it as an investment in our futures and it ensured we all ended up with decent houses.
