Where I live, the homeowner is responsible to keep the sidewalks clear and safe for people using them. If someone fell and got hurt, the homeowner could be sued over it. The homeowners there just take their chances and hope nobody slips on sidewalks with pure ice on them?
 
Watching YouTube videos about ankle taping. I've been having what I think is some tendonitis in my ankles (peroneal). Need to schedule a visit with a podiatrist or sports medicine doc.

We had a huge amount of snow and ice over the last few weeks here, although that is still no excuse, I agree. The problem in this town is that it’s about 75% retired people and a lot of them head for warmer weather in the winter. There are also a lot of sidewalks here that aren’t near anyone’s house so they are just not salted at all and sometimes it takes a week for the town to clear away the snow. Another thing is that this area typically doesn’t get a lot of snow, last year it only had 6” for the entire winter. So people aren’t really used to having to do anything because the snow usually melts a day or two after it falls.

It frustrates me a lot because I do historical walking tours in town and I did three separate tours a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty slippery for my customers 😬

I’m eating tacos for Taco Tuesday. I’m on taco #10. So far 9 soft beef tacos and one soft shrimp taco. They are $1.30 each and pops is paying so I’m loading up lol. Wish I had a girl to get tacos with lol. My back is killing me today so I need a girl for a massage too lol.

Had two bacon and egg tacos this morning at Taco Cabana plus taco Tuesday special free chips and queso and free small drink so under $7 for all, about half price, and had enough queso to bring half of it home for mid-day snack.
 
More house-buying/mortgage-getting tasks today. After talking with my mortgage loan officer, we decided to pay the points to reduce our interest rate from 6.5% to 6.25%. Still hoping rates drop in the near-ish future, so we can refi to a lower rate and shorter term, but not holding my breath.

I can't remember the specifics but I read something about instead of offering and buying at $10k off asking offer full asking and they pay $10k toward buy down or something. Instead of saving several dollars a month if lowers mortgage over $100 a month. Didn't pay too much attention since I'll never have another mortgage, unless it's on my final plot and I won't be worried about payment details. Hopefully someone will be along with better details or a search will find it. Good luck.
 
Leaving a restaurant. I’m tired. No luck on the dating sites I’m honestly ready to give up on everything. I am on call for jury duty the month of March. It’s absolutely ridiculous that the system in the USA isn’t better setup than that for being selected. It should be volunteer based. But if I do have to go then maybe I’ll meet the love of my life there or something that’s what my parents said lol. Other than that I will be salty about it because it’s ridiculous. I partially blame my state but for a reason I can’t say here but it’s just fun to blame my state. We as citizens should not be required to do it. If I am picked I’m going to make up things to tell them so I don’t get selected for the trial lol. That’s the best thing to do especially since I have a grudge against going. It’s part of the reason why I just want to give up.
