I use Yahoo! but haven't noticed those recent changes. I've been using Firefox browser plugins to hide the ads and the crufty right column junk for so long that I forgot it was there until I opened it in Chrome on a borrowed laptop.

One thing that you can do to get rid of all the junk is to disable JavaScript on Yahoo! mail (there are a number of ways to do it) and it will revert to the old school Classic interface.

Thanks, will try that. Otherwise I might try to use an email program instead of the web, I guess.
 
Thanks. That's all pretty much above my pay grade. :) I have 4 emails in yahoo and in the old system it shows all 4 on the left and I click which one I want to check. The new only shows one and adds a step to jump between, among other annoyances. I found a setting that shows all 4 but loses select options etc. I guess at some point I just need to finish moving everything to gmail. Or break down and go to a pay email account somewhere.
 
Today is going to be the best weather day we have had all month, after so many snowstorms and below freezing days, we are finally going to get a sunny day in the low 40s! I’m going to take a drive along the Niagara Parkway and go to Niagara Falls. I’m very excited about the upcoming season for my tour company there, we already have about 6 or 7 bookings for walking tours, some of them have booked for tours in July and August! I can’t wait to resume those tours again this spring, I have a lot of fun meeting people from all over the world every day! Fun fact: Niagara Falls had visitors from 166 different countries in 2024! ☺️
 
Heading into town today. Have some parts to buy for the Escape and maybe get my hip cracked at chiro. Oh and my daughter tries for her drivers license today....
 
Oh and im depressed. I'm starting some days off but it's melting outside. I want to go snowmobiling! Sure I'll fill that time making some beef jerky, ribs and steaks on the Traeger but it's just not the same.

Getting ready for bed. Freshly showered and refreshed. Got The Simpsons sleep pants on tonight. I love The Simpsons lol.

Earlier I requested a conversation with my parents about some things I wasn’t happy about at home and it went really well and everyone is happy so I’m glad that we could work together. I made sure I was very polite and respectful and listened to their side too. I asked that for one they let me be a private person and don’t request that I open my mail in front of them mainly mom but I made sure to include dad too. So they agreed I don’t have to share my stuff with them anymore if I didn’t want too but they said they were just trying to help so they are sorry it came across the wrong way.

And I told them that I need them to let me have my privacy at home too so please let me close my door and they granted that request too even though they didn’t want too. They are firm believers in open door policies. I had to beg them for years to let me close my door at night so this time I request I’m able to close it anytime I need to or want to. They are like yes you can we are sorry we kept you from it this whole time and realize how you feel and know I need my space and privacy so I appreciated that a lot. I also let them know I respect the fact it’s their house and their rules but my argument was that a man my age is grown and needs this privacy for multiple reasons and they agreed.

They both asked if I was ok recently because I’ve been a whole different person and I’m like yes I am ok I just really needed some changes to be made and I appreciate you both a lot and I respect them a lot too. And I told them I’m like I don’t want to cause any hard feelings or anything bad I just want to be my own person and do what I need to do in my life right now. They were really resistant on letting me close my door but they let me do it now.
 
Had my 26 year old Dayton motor start making bearing noises and I went and got a new one yesterday and a fresh pulley and belt. I can't complain as no service in 26 years of daily use.
At this point it was faster and cheaper to buy new.....

It's my main lathe and I can't afford the downtime and I hate jumping to another machine as you don't quickly transition well the first day unless it's an identical machine..

Drama but I use the lathe every day.
I remember hearing how average Dayton motors were.....I bet the new one won't last 5 years.

Offer was accepted on the house we put an offer on this past weekend. Now getting together financial and other documentation for the lender. Last time we did this was in 2007 and I forgot how much there was to the whole process. Hopefully some time in the next few years, interest rates come down a bit and we can refinance. We're going to be at 6.5% but hopefully not for too many years. I wish I'd been born rich instead of so good looking.:cool:
 
Got the lathe motor, pulley, belt and headstock oil change done. Very quiet....Was more worry than hassle...so far so good...
 
Took some time this morning with the steam truck, thawing out another watering bowl. 90 feet of water line had to be cleared. She froze bad as the ground is cleared of snow and frequently driven on.

Ribs now on the Traeger and some time on the trails.

My daughters sled, Btchy Mike had a breakdown down last run. Suspected the primary clutch, which it was. Under an hour and she runs great. Put some miles on! The moose were out not long before me.
