I stopped by my son's place to take care of their new puppy. She's a pug/terrier mix.

Then again my parents might be happy because they keep hinting to me I need to find someone cause they want more grandkids lol. My sister is having another one in June making 4 maybe I need to get on board lol.They must have my sense of humor.
Went to the antique store earlier now just going out for sodas, food and to Walmart lol. I’ve been talking to this girl for a few days and we went out on a date and she said she wants to continue with getting to know me and possibly start officially dating. She is supportive of my hobbies, we agree on a lot of things pretty much everything except she likes to read lol. I’m terrified to tell my parents though because they would probably flip over the fact I met her on a dating site. She knows that I live with my parents and that I collect DVDs and love SpongeBob and she is ok with all of that and we vibe on things like road trips, restaurants and eating at home. She’s a reader I’m not but I told her we can certainly come to some sort of agreement for quiet time lol. I think I’ve never been more scared or more nervous in my life first meeting the girl now having to tell my parents lol. They kinda know something is up when I told them I wasn’t coming in for dinner one day I just told them it was a friend lol. The best thing was the date was Taco Bell in my car lol. She told me her golden rule is honesty no matter what and that’s mine too. I hope everything works out and I hope I man up enough to tell my parents lol. And I have to man up and drive too lol
Your parents should be thrilled that you met someone, just tell them.

There’s no need to be ashamed about meeting women on the dating sites. It’s very common now. I met my ex wife on Plenty of Fish in 2011 and we were together for ten wonderful years and even though we aren’t married anymore we are still best friends and we even have a new business together! I met my current girlfriend on OK Cupid in October 2022 and we’ve been together ever since. It wasn’t meant to be. She got mad at me this morning because I would not drop everything and all of a sudden change our plans to today from Friday night and got mad I would not FaceTime in the middle of Kroger. I’m like I will FaceTime you but let me get checked out and get back home and we can do it then. She’d like no I need it now and I need you to come over now because I want attention. I’m like I don’t know what to tell you because I’ve got plans today so she blocked me lol.
Find an older, more mature woman on dating app.

She may have done you a large favor by getting out of your life. Some women, especially real young ones will put you thru every test you can imagine to assure themselves that you are going to be devoted to them. You may be better off with a some what older one who is far past those childish games. She will know what she wants and will not waste any of her time or yours unless she really likes you. Good luck.

What is it about getting old? Now if I spend 4 hours shoveling snow, I need a couple hours to get back to the point where I can move again. Don't get me started on how I'll feel tomorrow... not looking forward to rolling out of bed, I suspect I'll hit the floor first.
And it was light fluffy stuff at that. Only 7" of snow. Sheesh.

I’m lucky where I’m staying right now that one of the things that the condo fee (only $150 a month too) covers is the snow removal. And not just on the roads of the complex but they shovel everyone’s driveway and even the steps right up to the porch! They even put salt on the steps too and come back with a plow to remove any of the excess piles of snow that the previous plow left at the end of the driveway. With the 17cm of snow we got here last night (and about 30-40 more in the forecast for the next week) I am very pleased to not have to break my back. At 55 years old I have no problem walking 20,000 steps a day but shoveling snow is not something I ever want to do again.
