Not bad here. Around 75° F in the sun. I was looking for the comet but it was foggy just after sunset yesterday. Maybe today.

We decide on dinner based on dates. Mine are odd, hers are even. On the 31 we draw a card from a jar with our favorites on them. We like similar things. We won't choose something the other dislikes. Depending on choice it's either a specific meal or what place. If what place, we have to each pick our meal to get anything. No argument because that's the system and how it works.

Sitting at the laundromat washing and drying clothes. After this going to Kroger then home to watch the big baseball game tonight Los Angeles Dodgers vs New York Mets. Go Mets I don’t care about the Mets but I absolutely despise the Dodgers.
Watch some YT on how to talk to women, lol. Then get out where they are and go fishing or you'll never find one.
And take some of the money you spend on tools and soda and spend it on a nice haircut and some nice clothes. Get a girl to pick them out for you and don't skimp on the shoes!

I'm sitting at home on short term disability this week. Had carpel tunnel surgery a week ago today. Getting 60% of my pay this week.
Sitting around waiting to go pick up the dog from the groomer. That's him over there <------- I want to see what he looks like with his hair grown out, but his mom doesn't want him to look like a hobo.
Just finished planing, ripping to width and cutting to length two walnuts shelves. Started with a hunk of a slab the other day. PITA.

Love Orcas Island. Lived in cottage there on Dolphin Bay as a young child. Grandfather is buried in East Sound. Been many years since I've been back.
Island time seems like a real thing here. Lower stress and beautiful, though not much of a local economy. I'd love to spend a lot more time here. We stayed at a time share in Deer Harbor next to the marina.
I did notice the cemetery driving to East Sound.
I also noticed more than a few Nissan Leaf cars here and the island is the perfect environ for them... Practically no Tesla's, though.
Many decades ago Orcas was home to a lot of working class individualists that just wanted to get away from mainstream life. My grandfather was one if them. Things on the island back then were affordable and the fishing was fantastic. Times change. The aforementioned people died off and a different class of people sort of took over. You now need some big bucks to afford a place there and the political atmosphere went from one side to the other.

I need to get out more. I just struggle with keeping an appropriate mind when talking to girls too lol. I tried dating sites to no avail. And bad luck in high school when girls told me I was ugly to my face so kinda scared me away lol. The girl who I really like works at Walmart but I can’t talk to her while she is on the clock or it won’t be professional on her part I went to school with her and never gained courage to ask for her number. My friend told me I should start stopping to pick one up next to the road when I see them but I don’t know how I feel about that. As for dressing up I’m a flannel shirt and jeans and boots type of guy or occasionally I’ll rock a t shirt or tennis shoes like Nike or Converse or shorts if it’s summer time.
