What are you doing right now?

Watching the Washington Nationals @ Toronto Blue Jays game. Both teams are ok but I like the Blue Jays just a bit more so go Blue Jays. When I played baseball I was on a team called the Nationals just different logo and I hated wearing their colors lol 😂 I don’t look good in bright red unless it’s a hat. That’s why I never wore my red jersey unless I was playing haha. They are in the blue jerseys tonight with gray pants and the Blue Jays in the white. Fun fact for those that didn’t know the starting pitchers get to pick what uniforms their team wears now. If I was playing and picking it would always be a colored jersey especially if blue or green or something lol.

Also getting ready to grill some Italian sausages and bratwurst. I came home and dad was sleeping and got up and is like where is the groceries I’m like what groceries he is like mom was supposed to have you pick up sausages for dinner and I was like I’m not buying them I don’t want them and nobody said a word to me about it so we are getting ready to grill them he got them finally.
 
I’m eating lunch. On Monday my coworkers had me write down my hat size and a list of the hats I needed for my MLB collection as well as my address. I asked why and they told me it was a surprise, so today coworker who asked came up to me with a list of hats that were purchased for me by my coworkers. 9 of them total participated so I’m getting 9 hats. They said they cut the names out and put the teams names in a hat and all 9 of them drew one and then the rest are the only ones I have to buy. So I have a New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Tampa Bay Rays, Texas Rangers, Miami Marlins, Colorado Rockies, and Toronto Blue Jays hat coming. The Colorado Rockies one I asked if possibly it could be the two tone one and they granted that request. I was thrilled to hear they had bought me some hats. They said they know how much I love baseball and I always work hard and help people out and they know I’m trying to save some money up so they wanted to get me these hats before baseball season ended. I talk all of their ears off about baseball all day long lol 😂 and I know half of them don’t care but it’s nice when they do things like this. I will definitely pay it forward when I’m able too. I usually take most of them out for lunch anyway. So today is a really good day. And it’s not too busy but also not too slow.

I also purchased a Cincinnati Reds hat for dad and as well for me. His birthday is Friday and he is a lifelong Reds fan. Last time the 7 3/8 his normal size was a bit tight but he was able to wear it in a little bit, this time I got him a 7 1/2 so hopefully he can wear that one. And my friend who is having some health issues and had to quit his job is a big Orioles fan so I bought him and Orioles hat since he likes the Orioles. His birthday is September 13th. He has a small head lol he is a size 7, I wear a 7 7/8 haha. So now I just need a few more teams the Minnesota Twins, St. Louis Cardinals, Milwaukee Brewers, Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers and Washington Nationals and Arizona Diamondbacks. I might consider getting a Cleveland Guardians hat too I have an Indians one so don’t know about Guardians hat yet. I’m sure I’ll have them all by the end of the year. Just buying them slowly now to keep the funds under control.

I'm clearing a bank of overgrown brush today. Just enough to allow free flow of water in flash flood. A noon time break now with an apple and cup of decaf for lunch with dark chocolate for dessert.

I hate thorny greenbrier worst of all.......

Yeah, but I know where it lives, lol. Probably go riding with the guy sometime. I just didn't ride it hardly anymore due to the XSR900, and it needed some tires and brake pads and other maintenance. Just couldn't justify putting more money into it and insuring and licensing it to only ride 500 miles or less a year. I told the guy he found a unicorn Busa, which is really is due to it's condition, subtle mods and care. Gone but never forgotten. I still remember the day I bought it over 23 years ago.
 
For the baseball fans.
Jose Altuve hit a double, single, triple and then a home run to complete his first career cycle and the first for the Astros since 2013.
And the Astros set a record with 57 hits in a 3-game span.
 
Watching the earlier game Chicago White Sox @ Baltimore Orioles. Orioles lost unfortunately but still in first place in the AL east. No games on in my area tonight they had the Mets and Rangers on but it was the voiceover one where they also cover highlights and stuff which I can’t stand so had to change to this one which is play by play.
 
Watching Empress Joy Jean while adjusting a new " black nylon" trigger I made today . Yes plastic ..a copy of the original from the 70s..

Having a cup of coffee, and refusing to touch anything mechanical.

Riding mower has been acting up, figured it had to be something in an idle circuit. Cursed whoever designed Kohler engines but honestly it wasn't that bad. Did a brake cleaner rebuild. Seems to have done the trick.

So I then mowed the yard, and at the end, apparently I haven't checked the tires often enough, as I rolled one off the bead. Portable pump wouldn't pump it up (off the bead enough), so I elected to not drive on it and do any more damage--I walked back, grabbed the HF 1.5T jack, hoofed it down the driveway, pulled the wheel. Hoofed it back up into the garage. My "big" compressor pumped it back up. Hoofed it back down.

While putting the wheel back on, the jack slipped and decided to drive itself into the gas tank. Trot back to get a catchpan... thankfully I have a click-clack gas pump from another project fail, and was able to easily pump out the tank. No idea how a Cub Cadet has the gas tank installed, going to guess it's a bit like a heater core, and that's never going to be fixed--time to start shopping for a boat gas tank I guess.

So like I said, I'm having a cup of coffee and trying hard not to touch anything else that I might break...
 
Going to work on dads truck 😏 really hadn’t planned on working on anything today except maybe moms oil change or maybe the Beetle. Really don’t feel like crawling on the ground under a semi. At least I can try out my new gloves though bought some on the Mac truck the other day.
 
Reading up on beginner credit cards. Want to get my credit established and going. Dad tells me no credit card use the stock market but I asked advice from a member I trust here and he said get the credit card but don’t do it stupidly.
 
Watching the Baltimore Orioles @ Arizona Diamondbacks game. Go both teams but I do want the Orioles to win as I want them and the Mariners compete for a spot in the World Series.

Before you do anything read the book The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. Make a better informed decision equipped with more information.
