Trying to figure out how I want to safely jerry rig my generator setup. [Yes I know, no such thing.] Am trying to avoid running extension cords every time I use the generator, so how do I want to select which outlets to have the backup, and how do I get the power into the house in the first place?
[Before anyone states the obvious, I already have a nice 50A or whatever transfer switch--but I bought a little 2kW invertor that I just want to run some lights and maybe the fridge off of. I *could" make an adapter cable and convert the usual 120V 15A 3 prong into the 240V 4 prong 50A whatever that the transfer switch has... but that exceeds what I'm willing to do. Some time later in life I'll get a 6,500W generator. For now I just want the bare minimum.]
And of course, shopping CL for used gems, as I need another car like I need another hole in my head. Nothing new there.

Found a hydraulic leak on the 318G. Thankfully it was only a loose fitting. Since I had the boom up and locked, may as well lift the cab. Super simple but I will need to find some time to clean out the chassis.
Since its flipping cold, I used the skid steer to bring in the sleds for some maintenance. Batteries topped up and swapping out some parts. Having heated shop room is aces.

I’m kicked back and relaxing at work. We haven’t done anything hardly today at work because of weather. They are probably going to close my dealership tomorrow because it’s supposed to have negative wind chills tonight and get down to single digit temperatures and all the rain we have had today will freeze. I hope that happens. If so I’m going to chill out and party and wait for Christmas haha.

I’m just riding around with my parents. We are bored and nothing is open except gas stations. Also thinking of what I want to drink tonight either fireball or Michelob Ultra or the Dogfish Head Seaquench Ale. Gonna be a hard decision but I’ll get it eventually.

Sitting by the pool. Water is cold but over 80 degrees outside. Odd Christmas weather even for CA.
Odd choices..... maybe depends on the level of craziness. Watching TV? MU. Music/internet, Dogfish. Party? FIREBALL

Lol it’s just what my coworkers gave me for Christmas. Never had any of them before. Normally I’m a Coors Light or Corona guy. According to coworkers the fireball is just like the fireball candies which I love so I’ll definitely be trying it soon. Right now we are still out and about I’m considering the Michelob since I’ll be having it with food most likely. I think the Dogfish will be better by itself than with food so I’ll probably save that for a chill night when I’m just chilling around here.

Looking for something to eat. Then going to OfficeMax afterwards because we seen signs outside that said store closing. It’s a shame but I kind of was wondering when they would close they are way overpriced I can get the same thing at Walmart. I guess online shopping has put a hurt on them. Staples is just as bad with their prices.
Well I got to waste my Christmas and boxing day on snow removal. It was an exercise in futility. Had a nasty east wind and the snow was dry powder so it drifted in bad. Once you formed a ridge, it filled in the rest. Tomorrow the wind is supposed to shift by morning and I should be able to begin digging out.

Sitting in emergency after an X-ray and bloods taken after ankle swelled up like a balloon. Such fun but thankfully no costs involved.

Going to the post office. I’ve been making bank here on eBay here lately. Unfortunately hit the $600 in a year mark so has to be reported to the IRS. Shipping supplies are nice when you get them for free at the post office. Glad most of my buyers get priority shipping.

Picking up doordash orders with my dad. He does this stuff. I personally wouldn’t trust anyone with my food lol. I seen a doordash driver take a drink of someone’s drink once and after that I said I’ll never use that service ever. I don’t understand why you just would not go and pick it up personally I’d want to get out of the house lol.
