I had an early morning appointment with a new (to me) doctor who is a kidney specialist. My family doctor referred me to him just to have a consultation so he could look over my recent blood work and blood pressure and basically talk to me about the best things to do in order to protect my one remaining kidney. It was a great appointment with a lot of great information and he reassured me that my kidney is doing well. One interesting piece of information he gave me was to reduce my Vitamin C intake. I was taking 1200mg a day but he said to cut that in half. Too much Vitamin C can increase the risk of kidney stones
