Aftermarket oil filters are built to have the same features in terms of size, bypass valve pressure...etc as OEM. However, they often have more efficient media, just like the TRD filters which I've mentioned several times now and you keep side-stepping.Dude, stop picking on typos. Come on man, I'm not typing my resume here. You guys have a lot of time, seriouslyJust follow what Toyota says and you will be fine. Toyota oil filter costs 5 bucks
I know you will take this badly, but it would help if you learned a bit of technical understanding before you continue to post complete nonsense as you are now doing in this thread. You are clueless here and way out of your wheelhouse to the point of becoming ridiculous. These geniuses want to run HPL fluids in a Toyota minivan![]()
And what exactly do you think is the problem with doing that? These geniuses want to run HPL fluids in a Toyota minivan![]()
And it’s not even Friday.Get him out of here.
Wix XP are actually poor efficiency filters, which you'd have known if you'd spent more than 5 seconds on this forum and taken the time to visit the filtration sub-forum rather than endlessly running at the mouth about a subject you clearly know little aboutTRD is a scam developed here in America, crap is bolted onto Toyotas at the port. Also, Toyota engineers decided more effecient media is not necessary to get a million miles from their motor, stop wasting your money on Wix XP and other crap, Toyota filter costs 5 bucks![]()
Waste of money. And not following Toyota's specs. If you don't trust Toyota enough, then don't buy oneAnd what exactly do you think is the problem with doing that?
You are being snarky towards long time, very knowledgeable contributors to this board.Ha, it just shows the lack of your knowledge of Toyotas. The oil light comes on at 5,000 miles, not 10
What "specs" are we talking about? And how do you determine a waste of money?Waste of money. And not following Toyota's specs. If you don't trust Toyota enough, then don't buy one![]()
If one is to make a troll account to achieve maximum trolling this is how you do it.I'm sticking to OEM oil, HPL is not the designer of that transmission

It is you guys who are trolling. OP started this thread asking about which is the best 0w16 oil, and nobody answered his question. You got into this old stupid boring thick versus thin debateIf one is to make a troll account to achieve maximum trolling this is how you do it.
Ha! How old are you?Bet a hundred it's a troll account. It's only 2 days old and there's no way one can genuinely this abrasive.
Plenty have said to use 0w-16 and have given their recommendations, no need to make stuff up. On top of that you can use many grades above 0w-16 as it's the minimum not the maximum. It is you guys who are trolling. My owners manual says to stick to OW-16, use 0W-20 if 16 is not available but next Oil Change switch back.
