I just bought the big jug of super tech wash/wax which is the car wash soap with wax in it. I figured it was a good idea to try hopeing that every time I washed my car the wash/wax would help a little bit in protecting the paint compared to just using plain car wash soap. My question is....will this wash/wax formula actually make my car bead and possibly protect it? I understand it probably would never compare to a hand waxed car but do you think it will lightly protect my car? and make it bead when it rains? Thanks for your inputs

I just used some Armor All wash & wax (probably similar to the kind you have) on my mom's car and it actually looked pretty nice. The wax beaded the water as well, so I'm pretty happy with it. I don't know how well it'll protect the paint though.

I don't know what's in it that they're calling 'wax' but true wax won't mix with anything water based.

As far as SuperTech car was soap goes...the only thing I noticed about it is that you have to use twice as much to get the same results. I've pretty much tried everything out there and have found that I like Meguiars Gold Class the best. It's thick, reasonably concentrated and seems to have the best lubricating properties to prevent scratching during the washing process.

Don't be concerned with the level of shine you're getting from a car wash product. Cleanliness is far more important. If you want shine, break out the elbow grease and wax your car.
