Yeah, AAP is up to $8/qt for PP!!! when I can get 5qts of it for $23 at Walmart. I just watch what I buy everywhere. Like this afternoon I headed to Lowes to get some RG-6 Coax to wire my antique house and had 2 options. Both rolls were 250'. both were RG-6. One was Phillips brand, made in china for like $60. Other option was a no-name brand Made in USA for $39. Guess what I bought?

I am not sure if you read my post correctly. The oil was on closeout and marked down to .99. The assistant manager was the one who wrang up the receipt on my first purchase. I asked him some questions on it while he was looking up a part for me. He said the manager had given them orders to gather up all the Exxon Superflo oil, put in on floor display with the sign. They were not going to carry it anymore and it had to go.

So I am confused as to what it is you think I did wrong.

Pennzoil Platinum was around 6.59 at AAP back in beginning of November. I don't know why it is so much higher now, it is more expensive then Mobil 1 is there.

If you are in Kmart or Big K, scan the Synpower cause I recently bought some on clearance for $1

Last jug of MC Semi 5W-20 came in at $2.25/qt a month ago. I have 5 5qt jugs stashed now. I like to find a good oil and stick with it

I see the comment from those that are the thriftiest that get 5 qt of what ever is on sale in the Pepboy or Auto-zone weekly sales and just can't understand how the $1 savings is worth the uncertainty of not having a consistent oil type over the life of the engine swapping from the brand of the month???
