Walmart Super Tech - has it been discontinued?

Napa was so high on their oils because of this that made me feel really good at getting three cases of Redline 5w30 for under 13$ a quart.

Even Walmart went up!!!! Im done buying otc oil, but this jump looks pretty significant if your frugal or a miser. Pandemic mentality, dont be without food, water, cartridges, toilet paper 🧻... And now oil.

We made ALL of our own stuff 50-60 years ago, and we never had ANY of these problems...this is what we get when we outsource everything...

After WWII, the industrial base of many countries were decimated. The US didn't thrive because we made everything. The U.S. thrived because we had no competition. If you look at a chart of per capita incomes, the U.S. is higher than most countries that you would want to compare us to. We've been the chief beneficiaries of the global order that is now under stress. It's a massive mistake to think that turning into hermits will make us wealthier. The UK tried that with Brexit and it's been a disaster for them.

I never said, or implied we'd be richer. My statement was to point out that we wouldn't be having the shortages of almost everything we're having now...

This is the first I've heard of a shortage. It seems there's a shortage of everything these days. What's the supposed cause of the motor oil shortage? Does big oil want to do even more price gouging?
I guess you hadn’t heard about the conflict in the Middle East that affected oil markets? That affected oil production facilities? That affected Gas to Liquid Plants?
