Walmart oil prices - Ah!

I'm blown away at some of the answers to higher cost oil. Funniest one is extending oil change intervals to make up for the price increase. I can order a 5 quart jug of full synthetic right now for 24 bucks. that is less than 5.00 a quart.

I just reordered (online for curbside pu) my Castrol Euro 5w40. Same price I have been paying. 23.97. Got 2 just in case. I change oil once a month. Courier business. Lots of miles. Buy my filters in 6 packs from RA

You can probably find other full synthetic versions at other places even cheaper but may need to peruse sale/rebate things. Traveller 0W-20 at Tractor supply is still showing $19.99 on their website. Many have said it is a good oil and use it IIRC.

Just cheaper is not always it. Many of us have our preference for brand/version/model. Like "meets the spec" or "exceeds the spec". Almost anything can be substituted but am I happy with it? I could buy a used Versa and would if I had to but I prefer my Accord.

I just checked the Walmart site and found Castrol EDGE Extended Performance for $30. I didn't buy any but after it being out of stock almost all the times I looked, it is in stock and available for that price.

I don’t think that’s funny at all, in fact I think way too many people on here change their oil too often. Mostly because it makes them feel good, not because they have any kind of real data that shows that it’s necessary.

Castol edge and extended performance look to be on rollback online and the 6 qt. Havoline Pro DS is old price if you get a double pack or better. Get these low prices while they last i reckon.

Amsoil h\asnt g\one up or at least at th\e same marg\in. Th\ose wh\o are worried about th\e price of over th\e sh\elf, Grp3.....try amsoil OE......just about th\e same price, USA company, excellent product.g\o with\ a smaller American product.

If I were paying\ 35 a g\allon for an oil....mig\h\t as well.

Yeah, just got some more ASG 75W-140 - not earth shattering prices - especially since I went 2 years instead of 1 with the ASG that I just drained …

After saw this , I stop by Walmart sure enought oil price went up too much. I bought Quaker state full syn for $20. I saw a new sticker lay over for $29. I peel it off and sure enought it’s a big jump.

I guess I will buy oil deals at part store again. Hope fully they not jump to higher price .

spend even more for amsoil cause just like covid they will have what you need.
Also keep in mind I didn't exactly pass economics.
