Walmart oil prices - Ah!

Went in my local Walmart in NJ this morning and of course hit the oil section ..... WHAT! ALL VALVOLINE AND PENNZOIL UP $6-8 A JUG ....... CASTROL SEEMED THE SAME .... SOOO PISSED OFF
Why are you pissed? You knew what was going to happen. When Foxtail08 gave his first report, I grabbed 4 years of oil for the 3 cars I take care of and for all our trucks at work for 3 years. Those just for the fact I want to make sure I had at least Group 3 for their turbos.

For the people who run Euro oil, It's back in stock at Walmart, price when up about $7.00 since the last time I purchased it. I believe this is nationwide.

And of course many gallons get drained early - just a slight increase in OCI can offset cost …

Considering the possible reduction in quality base oils, it may make more sense than ever to follow our OLMs if so equipped. I'd rather run a known good oil (that I have on hand) for a longer OCI than gambling on a sub-par oil.

Sure - anyone who didn’t stock up at the first sign - has all of this to think about - but some prefer to deflect upon those who did …

People are really getting worked up over nothing. It's a few bucks difference for a change. This is temporary and not really a big concern for US markets. Oil prices are futures contracts and those contracts now being delivered along with ships rerouting taking twice as long to find oil terminals and the storage/transporation fees associated with that have led to a temporary bump in the states.

If you don’t change your own you will pay dearly. Suzy soccer mom will be cussing about her $175-200 oil change at the dealer. In the grand scheme it’s not much but most people are stretched thin but live like they have millions in reserve.
