Walmart Motorcraft 5W20 label has wrong Ford Spec?

I've been using MC 5w-20 since 21,500 original miles and I am at 65,xxx miles on Motorcraft and mostly it's close sibling Super All-Season synthetic blend 5w-20 and these are the finest oil for the Honda I got anyway, 929 or 930 misprint WITHstanding (I never even needed to check).

The MC oil is a no brainer, don't you be! (It's like an extremely hot female you don't have to think twice about)
GO MC, go MC, go MC...go CP, go CP , go CP!

I don't know how picky Ford would be about any warranty concerns but if you had an engine problem and you said "I only used Motorcraft oil 5w20 with the 29A spec" would they honor it? Hopefully so, but what if? In my opinion why risk anything until they get this figured out and printed correctly. You would think Ford would still be liable because it is Ford Motorcraft oil, but it may become a finger pointing problem between Ford and CP on who is to pay for any engine issues that may arise.

+1 I've run mostly MC 5w20 in my daughters 01 Civic since new, now with 125k on the clock, and still running like a champ.

I've always purchased the jugs in the 5w20 because it's a better value than the quarts. I have run the 5w30 in other vehicles in the quarts. It's always been one of the better value name brand oils since it appeared in Wally's oil section. In the 5w20 weight as far as value, it's been tough to beat in the jugs.

I wouldn't hesitate for one second to use the 5w20 jugs in my daughters Civic or tell my son to use it in his 05 Explorer. IMO, it's the same oil as in the quarts and meets all of Fords specs. I think you could be over thinking this deal, but everyone has their own comfort level. JMO

Motorcraft oil is now being packaged in a different bottle than it was before, and I just checked my last remaining quart of 5W-20 (one of the new style) and it has the 930 spec. I was in Walmart today, but forgot to look at the 5 quart jugs. I have some empty older style bottles in the garage that I'll look at later if I remember.

This oil was always a great deal. Let them get this fixed and it will be a mute point. I am a mechanical engineer that works for a electrical utility and I know how picky they can be over all the specs being in order. Maybe that is why I may be overeacting.

I checked the 5 quart jugs in Murray's/O'Reilly's this morning and the 5w20 jug stated 929-A whereas the quart bottle 5w20 stated 930-A. So they either have two 5w20s on the market or two labels. I'm thinking the latter.

I have a 5 qt in the garage that has the 929 on it too. The part number on the bottom of the jug is the correct one for 5w-20. I think it is just a typo. Every other marking on the jug is correct except the 29-A.
