Motorcraft oil seems to be the only OEM type oil that gets any discussion on here. I wonder how many people are using this Ford oil in vehicles from other manufacturers. Do other car companies approve Motorcraft oils? Last time I checked it was not approved for use in GM vehicles (big surprise!!). Does anyone use it in a GM engine anyway? I have been using it in my '08 F150 5.4l and really like it, but I've only put 8k on it so far.

I've used it in the past and even recently as a rinse for Auto-Rx. It's usually the cheapest thing you can find above SuperTech. I can only put it in jeeps (the only think I own at the moment).

Now if Mr. Goodwrench oil shows up on WM's shelves ..or any shelf ..at a competitive price, I think you'll see more posting about it. Until then, I think MC is going to be the OEM oil of distinction here on BITOG.

5W20 MC jugs, used almost exclusively in 01 Honda Civic with 120k. Good relative deal for $12.50 at Walmart, and in the past has been less expensive than that. Never considered not using it because it said Motorcraft. Liked the idea it said "synthetic blend".

I used 5W-20 MC from Wallmart for my son's 2001 Honda Civic when it was under warrenty (5,000 mile changes). Then Mobil 1 came out with 5W-20 and we switched, running it for 7500 miles.

He has 140,000 miles on it and running fine.
