Reminds me of 2 days after I graduated from high school. I went to take the SAT test. The only thing is my buddies and I were leaving that day to head out of state to the beach to do some partying. They were sitting out in the car waiting for me to finish. The test was the furthest thing from my mind. Halfway through, I just started coloring in bubbles on the scantron sheet. The abundance of women and alcohol eased my concerns. Ha, still made a good enough score to get excepted to a local college.

I'm guessing you failed the spelling section?

Accepted.

No, man. He was right. Others qualified ...but they excepted him. Everyone could go in ..except him. He was excepted. Dig??

Now make like a tree ..and get outta here.

Nothing to do but wait till next week .. it really scares me to think that I might've screwed up the scantron though

Please accept my apology for the grammatical, not spelling, error. Actually, my biggest failing was not getting my degree. 97, whether you pass or fail, don't give up like I did. I will pay for that idiotic decision for the rest of my life.

Run your car way, way, way over its OCI...then worry about how much damage each start-up is doing....there, now you're not worrying about your exam!

:D

Seriously, form what I've seen, you are a hard-working student. I think you'll find you did great. Let us know!

Yep, wife wants me to make more money but does not want to sacrifice the my time away from the family. I actually quit due to my dad's heath, had to help take care of him. Then the young, dumb, and you know life kept me from going back after he passed away.

No offence, but its never to late to 'go back' and improve on your skills and abilities...it may involve some sacrifice in the short term, but will pay off in the long term. No JUST in monetary gain, but in you also being happier and feeling more accomplished....

"Don't worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle Tuesday." ~Everybody's Free, Baz Lurhman

I worry about doing bad on test alot too, but it's already happened and there's little that you can do to change the outcome now so there's no use in worrying. And if you do too much worrying you could easily develop some sort of psychological disorder.

I'm quite sure that you're preaching to the choir, addy (to drivewaytech). It's the same with parenting. I've talked with learned physicians and just every other kind of functional person ..and once you're under fire .. it's very hard to manage much more than periscope depth to view outside of the chaos of your ever present existence bubble. You're slaying dragons and putting out fires and they don't let up. While surely it only requires sacrifice, is that not what dragon slaying and fire extinguishing include too ..in self(is)less sacrifice? When your choices are answering phones that never stop ringing ..or doing more AND answering phones that never stop ringing .. ..you're left with chasing a buck the best way you can with what you've got to work with at the moment ..and ingenuity can only carry you so far.

Gary, you are full of it.............wisdom that is.

Thanks for sharing. Just when I am pondering to start a mid-life crises, it is re-assuring, of sorts, to know that most people share in life's struggles of one kind or another.

I get a kick out of the few people here that seem to think they can control their destiny. Get a good education, avoid all vices, plan a perfect marriage, perfect kids, no health issues, and life will turn out 100% as planned.

Yet, as Wavinwayne(I think) professed a few weeks ago...life is still good, for most of us.

Ahhhh, I feel better now.

Well this has turned out to be an uplifting thread at the expense of 97tbird's worries. I know that I have made some bad decisions in life. Do I gravel in pity or make the best of my circumstances? I work on average 55 hours a week, which leaves little time for school. I also have a "special needs" child whom needs care, thus not allowing my wife to take on a full time job to supplement my income or drop in overtime. I may not have all that I want, but I have all that I need. Yes, I do have struggles, but with that attitude, the mountains of stress that I should be under turn to rolling grassy knolls. I am thankful for what I have and work hard to keep it.

well it seems i'm not a complete idiot :)

I did pretty ok (by my current standards) in the final and passed therapukes module pretty safely.
Thanks for the support, guys.
