Whip City mentioned he didn't know the bypass valve setting. Someone asked that question on O'Reilly's on the MicroGard Select filter model MSL57502, and the answer was 22 PSI, so could be all or most of the MG Selects use that same bypass valve setting.
Sorry to revive an old thread. I was doing some research on alternate filters for my 2021 Outback. I contacted orileys about the bypass psi setting in filter part# MSL57356. They said it’s 8-11 psi.
Must be different for different filter models. Wish O'Reilly would put that info on each model on their website.
MSL 57055 has the correct bypass as it’s Subaru specific. CQP version does too.
What's the bypass set to on the MSL57055? Is it shown on O'Reilly's website or did you contact them for the info?
I ended up settling for PG4612EX 6 pack for cheap from eBay. It has a setting of 14-17 psi. Much better. The correct PG4615EX says coming soon and nowhere to be found. I emailed PGI a week ago and just got crickets.
