VW 3.6 VR6 filter

Here's the VW OEM filter for the 3.6 VR6 engine. Made in China. I've typically used Mahle as those are what has come with the Liquimoly oil change kits from FCP but we had a spare so using this next go around. These are large cartridge filters...similar to the one my W8 Passat and my son's 2.7 VR6 GTI take (same filter both engines).

That’s a UFI made filter. They make the fuel filters for my canyon diesel. I didn’t know they made stuff in China.

That looks like a quality filter. Surprised not from S. Korea though.

The size of these inspires some confidence, it took about 0.75qts to top off after changing only the filter. Here's some I've used, sticking with Mahle on the FCP carousel nowadays.

Big o-ring for the Purolator was trash and leaked. Used an STP one time and the media was very brittle - no picture of that or the one Hengst. I feel like the Mahle fits the best, and wouldn't hesitate to use a Hengst or the Fram again. Would be intrigued to try a CQP version.
