Interesting.
I like what Lucas does for Motorsports but after all I've learned about their products they just aren't that good.
Their oil based on this and other things I've seen show the oil to be very weak. Now does it truly matter if a person maintains their vehicle properly,I cannot say for sure however I rather have an oil with a stronger add pack.
Sheaffers was a surprise too.
Thanks for posting.

I find it amusing that Supertech Syn is practically identical to Pennzoil Platinum, except for the boron and moly additives.

I'm coming around to the school of thought that ANY GF5/SN rated oil is practically synthetic compared to the oils of 20+ years ago. I'm going to start running Supertech conventional exclusively. Check out it's VOA on the same site. It's as good as anything else with a brand name on it.

It is a good oil but its not pennzoil platinum. Most super tech is made by WPP, citgo, or XOM.

I just don't buy into the marketing propaganda anymore. If it's GF5/SN, it's good enough. Check out the tons of UOA's. None of them are measurably better than any others, even between cheapo dinosaur vs top shelf synthetics. Not for the premium of certain names on the bottle, anyway. But it's just my opinion the subject. What do I know?

UOA are just one peice of the puzzle measuring wear rates.... But yes, if its api SN then it is mostly good enough for almost any application here in the US. As long as it meets the spec, its good enough.
