When I first made these charts, I had the extra time. Now I don't. All you need is a spreadsheet (I use Libre Office) and a web browser to visit every oil PDS. Record the data, then sort. Then copy/paste from the spreadsheet to a post on this forum and it will keep the borders and formatting.Need to update the charts due to D1G3.
Yes but most think about Noack. Oil thickening....and yet...isn't HT/HS really the only important variable from a real-world practical POV?
What is the difference between the Castrol Edge HM 070120 and 011020??Same chart, sorted by grade, HM, then viscosity.

The only difference I saw on the two PDS was the one with the lower viscosity had verbiage about being catalytic converter safe (lower phosphorus and zinc). I believe the exact verbiage was "fights emission systems failure." But to be honest, I've never seen an Edge HM bottle *without* that verbiage on it. So who knows if or where it is available. What is the difference between the Castrol Edge HM 070120 and 011020?
Yeah...same here. Which is concerning. If I decide to try Edge, my engine likes the thicker 5W-30's. I'm trying to find something similar to/better than the now discontinued Magnates FS I was using. The only difference I saw on the two PDS was the one with the lower viscosity had verbiage about being catalytic converter safe (lower phosphorus and zinc).
