Hi! I'm new here and hopefully will learn a thing or two about oils here.
My bike is 2011 Husaberg FS 570 in supermotard trim, and sees mostly high revs and a lot traction on paved roads. Also some minor offroad and gravel road action here and there.
Currently ~95h/5500km on the motor and It's been ran mostly using Mobil Delvac MX 15w40 mineral oil with change interval of 5-10 hours. First 5 to 30 hours I had 300v 15w50 in it, then up to 40 hours 50/50 mix of 300v and Delvac MX, and after that just straight Delvac.
Right now I'm at the point of building the motor and hopefully getting close to 70whp out from 564cc single. Manual recommends 10w50 or 10w60 Motorex cross power 4T Full Synthetic stuff.
Whats to point for 60 weight oil? Finland has outside temps in the summer usually +18-25 celsius so it's fairly "cold" in here.
I was thinking for just piece of mind to run again 300v Motul after the motor is done and dyno tuned. Just can't decide the viscosity to run in it. 5w40 must be like water in it, but then again 15w60 sounds pretty extreme to me. So it's either 10w40, 15w50 or 15w60 but which one? Or I just could revert back to Delvac and change it after 3-5h of use, but I want the best protection for it so it does not blow up (too soon).
