Virgin oil evaporation

I recently fot possession of some old oil. Onein partic is tri-syn Mobil 1 SJ 10w30. It appears to be sealed as I turned the cap and the ringheld tension, so I quit turning as not to unlock it.

Then, there is about 13 ounces left. I squeezed and shook and none left the bottle.....sohow did iteemove itself from the container.

Some Havoline SL disappeared too,butnot as much...btw, why did they skip SK, K is a consonant!

My first thought is that it's probably not sealed, it just held the ring in place by accident, I've seen it before.
