Vette falls off the lift..

It tipped slowly, If he really didn't want it to fall, he should have grabbed onto something up front and yelled
" Help Help!" I could see myself doing that :) Embarrassing!

NEVER put yourself in harms way to save a vehicle, In fact....I've never had to because I use Hi-Lift screw stands front & rear on ANY vehicle I consider a tipping risk.

The video billt460 posted is yet another case of a Cheap Lift without locking arms.....Just look how nice the shop is, Clean, Painted floors & all....Working on expensive luxury cars but couldn't buy a quality lift???? Bet they have a nice reception & customer waiting area as well....

That’s too funny lol. We had someone at my work drop one off a Jack and onto the lift arm so it crushed the side skirts, the floor pan, and damaged a little of the fender if I remember correctly. They fired him for that it was his second day on the job too.

Losing your job unfortunate but thankfully no one got hurt. Cars are disposable.

I noticed that also. I actually checked ours today during a demo, to make sure they're functioning as intended.
One of my lifts one of the arms wasn’t locking. I almost noticed it too late. First vehicle it did it on I could figured it out and thought it just shifted a little when going off the ground. Second one the same scenario happened so I looked closer and the lock that goes down when the lift goes up wasn’t going down. I had to hammer it down it was corroded up some so after some penetrating oil and some over and over ups and down action I got it acceptable and working. I immediately oiled my other 3 rotary lifts of that style.
