It takes up more shelf space, it's taller, it's more visual, it catches the eye on a wall of products.

It's easy enough to gently back the cap off to feel if the 'anti-tamper' is either attached or free.
Theres a chain of gas stations in my area with around 20 gallons of delvac 1 5w40 from between 96-03. There may be more as i havnt checked all their stations. They will never be sold as the price is 70 a gallon
