Very nice car, I'd drive it daily.

I wonder if that dealer has any F-150s for sale?

AWESOME!! If I came across one of those in 2 door, with buckets, and the shifter between the seats, plus all blacked out (can't remember what it was called, but they made them in that trim that are very rare) I'd be driving it home!!

I know the car you're referring to. Pontiac/olds and Buick each had their badging on it.
It was a fwd sixxer. Went like snot in its day. Some thing like FX something or other.

Ouch.
I though only the toronado was a fwd.

Edit. I forgot about the late 80s early 90s versions that got smaller, and sixxers and they all went fwd.

The only cars from that era I liked that were front wheel peel were the mid 90s bonneville.
My mom had one when the bodies were still kinda spaceship like and rounded everywhere. It was boosted and if you turned off traction control you could easily fry off a brand new set of tires in a single burnout if you set the e-brake.
I loved those cars. I'd watch the boost gauge climb as I got pushed back into my seat.
Our was like a green colour. It was nice but totally a 90s fad colour.
My mom got hit with a snow plow in it and totalled the poor car. It didn't even have 60000 miles yet.
Crying......sobbing.

Funny that a ton of rubber parts still look and operate like new on my 20-30 year old cars.

Ya but is it a parts bin GM model? Everything dryrots but isn't always visible to the naked eye. I wouldn't trust 20-30 year rubber part either. You can, I won't.

I had severe reservations selling a car with older tires because of this. I just made it plainly clear I showed them, warned them, and made sure I am not responsible when & if the tire pops.

Tires are different. They get beat up pretty bad.

I can assure you my over 10 yearsold "Parts Bin GM" stuff has no dry rot. Tow with the truck, race with the Trans Am, daily drive the Grand Prix.

To expensive for its age and that's the height of GM's plastic cars. They sure have come a long way in 10 years.

Dry rot?? not really an issue. All my vehicles have been in vegas heat and are still fine.

Nope, I agree. It was Thermo1223 who said that.

I'd love to drive that every day, just because it's so different these days.

But I also would love to have something off-the-wall like an old Mustang II in good condition.

Funny, I don't like the car (just not my cup of tea), but 10K looks like a decent deal to me. Comparing to a 10 year Bonneville really isn't a legitimate comparison. That's basically a new car. It's the perfect time capsule, especially if those miles came in a consistent fashion year-to-year. 10K doesn't buy much in a way of new or "perfect condition 2 year old off-lease", which is probably the best comparison.

I tried to buy an '88 Camry Wagon on Ebay in similar condition, but it ended up going for over 6K. Condition matters a lot more than years, at least to some folks.

I see where you're coming from, and if we we're talking about a 10 year old Toyota or Honda, or even a Panther, I'd be more inclined to agree with you.

I've owned two MY04 GM vehicles, a Saab and a Buick (still have the Buick). Build quality and materials on both was atrocious. Pontiacs from that era were especially bad, mainly due to the excessive use of cheap plastic. 2004 was not part of the golden era for GM.

I won't even consider it based on the fact that the seller did avoided meticulous pictures detailing the underside of the car.

They must be hiding something.

All kidding aside, that is the most pics I have ever seen for a car being sold. I feel like I already own it and sit in it every day due to the "from every possible angle" pictorial. Nice enough vehicle in every way, not sure if I would pay more than $7K for it though.

That seems like a lot of money for a 10 year old Bonneville. Maybe if it was a GXP.

I guess I have been away from used car prices for too long. Luckily I have also been away from new car prices for a while.
