I was in northern Vermont for 3 weeks and when I wasn't painting the cottage I took some pictures.

Thanks for all of the compliments.

In the past I have just used a shutter release to lock the shutter open for one long exposure. This time I used an intervalometer to take a 30 sec. exposure every 35 sec. The shots used 77, 266, 216(2 hours) respectively. So, they also work as a time lapse video (which I will try to post when I finish compiling it).

I have a Canon 40D with 17-40mmL and 28-138mm lenses.

Is this your place?

haha, I think that place needs more than paint. It is an old fire warden's cabin, the fire tower is gone.

I have a BFA with a concentration in photography and I worked at a studio for a while but I am currently unemployed. Know anyone who needs a photographer? :p

If you have sequentially numbered .JPGs, FFMPEG will turn the folder full into a video.

That's handy, I have been struggling with Windows Live Movie Maker for the past few days... I'll have to check it out.

They are from various spots in Orleans and Essex Counties.

For those interested, here's what I came up with in Movie Maker.

This is my favorite clip

This is a full (AKA long) set of the time lapses

Love the waves in the 2nd one at 2:30! Looks like your inlet gets all the force of wind concentrated by geography.

Figuring out exposure as day turns into night, as you noticed, is tricky. Leave it on auto and things can get flickery as it adds 1/3 stop every few pics.
