Filter that came off family members 2013 Traverse, with 6600 miles on the filter. Included 1600 miles of towing a heavy U-Haul trailer. Oil was definitely ready to be changed, the OLM was at 18%. The oil was Valvoline Maxlife Blend, according to the sticker from the oil change place. Replaced with a new PF63 E-Core. Not sure why they used a shorter filter than factory, guess that was what they had on-hand.

Looks like a FRAM Tough guard I think. The Nitrile ADBV was fairly stiff compared to the silicon ADBVs I've seen in the past. No tears in the media, looks okay overall.

A bit wavy but nothing out of the ordinary w/these types of filters. Looks more like a Purolator made filter than a Fram TG. Oil seems to look just fine though but the meter said change so you did the job. Thanks for the post.

Purolator with fiber endcaps? Has Puro/M+H ever made that style? Looks very much like a FRAM EG/TG to me.

I was looking at the base plate holes & their shape. I would assume you're right until you see differently on it being an EG.

Looks like a Fram tapping plate for this application and I've seen some not great to just plain awful Extra Gaurd or Tough Gaurd 10575 and 12060 posted here, at least this one didn't rip, Fram has gotten real sloppy on the pleat spacing couple that with the 22psi bypass on the 12060 and 10575 and you get the formula for twisted/ripped crap looking filters.

Yeah, I seen the baseplate holes & they appeared to be Purolator but I'm mistaken. Those are def Fram holes.

It would be Fram because Champion filters manufacturers, Valvoline filters for them. And they switched to Ecore back in 2009 I think. Because I was an SCM for them at that time. That was before I became disabled..
