Valvoline Synpower or Penzoil Platinum?

Synpower, it meets current ACEA specs for A1 & A5.

Pennzoil A1 & A5 ACEA specs are like '02 or '04 specs look on the bottle. Maybe they did not care to re certify for most recent ACEA specs?

I emailed Synpower and it meets all current A1 & A5 specs not just older ACEA specs.

I prefer Valvoline Synpower 5W-20. Out of all the oil, it gave my engine the smoothest start-up. Plus, I take advantage of their 300,000 mile guarantee. Go with Valvoline Synpower.

When I used Mobil 1, there was a noticeable amount of engine oil burn off. I can't comment on PP because I haven't used it in a while. However, I notice there are quite a few PP and M1 fanboys around.

If anything, go with Val Synpower because it is $2 less expensive than PP.

Always interesting how a oil with such a weak add package gets so much praise. Some dino have a better add pack such as Mobil5k. I wonder how much a add package comes into play in the big picture?

I tend to agree. Pennzoil Platinum seems to have good numbers on the UOA - can't argue that. But Pennzoil seems really "band wagon" right now. This one guy in Canada said PYB protects his engine better than any synthetic could (even at -20F) . Are you kidding? I hope he dosen't believe that when he starts his engine every morning this winter

From what I see by Robsters post that got locked we are supposed to keep old threads going when a topic has been covered, yes no?
