I like em both. Synpower is a nice oil and doesn't get a whole lot of recognition around here. I dont think its as good at cleaning up a sludger, but it has good uoas and thats what counts

Valvoline Maxlife HM Synthetic Blend get my vote. Best value and best protection for my vehicles. I use PP/PU to clean out all the deposit leftover in my car from last century.
