I still can't understand how they claim "American owned and operated"...
Totally agree. The "Why" I can logically conclude that with the production of electric cars on the horizon it was going to be a sinking ship in the waves ahead so they got the saudi's to give them good money to bail.

They no longer say American owned and operated. Look at the attached photo. It's now American MADE and Formulated!

Which it is American made & formulated here in Kentucky.

People are seeing the previous labels of left over stock and assuming it still says American owned on all of them, Either way it still supports American workers and Valvoline offers great products.

Right, ASHLAND Oil was owned by The Vanderbilts, who started the cities ASHLAND , KY & ASHVILLE, NC. (Biltmore )

In fact a recent CEO , John Hall, who died in 2021, attended VANDERBILT University

The posts are all over the place with some pummeling and some praising the product without even getting their hands on it or exposing their engines to it.
Valvoline is claiming that nobody else in the industry has done to this extend.
Let us be patient and see what time tells...

It seems to be a product specifically geared toward the same market as HPL EC and the discussions we've had on this forum about cleaning the ring land area.

Yes - my new oil label has the change - the ATF bought today did not

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

But making an imitation imitation is a pretty sad day. IMO the original is and will remain The King. Elvis is dead; long live Elvis! 🤣

This will burn out quickly, just like M1 AP.

The main problem with Annual Protection was the breathtaking price at launch. Restore and Protect looks to be priced similar to other high end full synthetics. Valvoline also appears to be discontinuing Extended Protection, so they won’t have to get into a war over shelf space for it either.

If my engine wasn’t brand new I’d try it. I have nothing to clean.

Instead I ordered some more Extended off Wally’s site today while I can still get it.
