Totally agree. The "Why" I can logically conclude that with the production of electric cars on the horizon it was going to be a sinking ship in the waves ahead so they got the saudi's to give them good money to bail.I still can't understand how they claim "American owned and operated"...
Which it is American made & formulated here in Kentucky. They no longer say American owned and operated. Look at the attached photo. It's now American MADE and Formulated!

Right, ASHLAND Oil was owned by The Vanderbilts, who started the cities ASHLAND , KY & ASHVILLE, NC. (Biltmore )Which it is American made & formulated here in Kentucky.
People are seeing the previous labels of left over stock and assuming it still says American owned on all of them, Either way it still supports American workers and Valvoline offers great products.
It seems to be a product specifically geared toward the same market as HPL EC and the discussions we've had on this forum about cleaning the ring land area. The posts are all over the place with some pummeling and some praising the product without even getting their hands on it or exposing their engines to it.
Valvoline is claiming that nobody else in the industry has done to this extend.
Let us be patient and see what time tells...
Yes - my new oil label has the change - the ATF bought today did notWhich it is American made & formulated here in Kentucky.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. It seems to be a product specifically geared toward the same market as HPL EC and the discussions we've had on this forum about cleaning the ring land area.
