Valvoline Restore And Protect 2 Stroke Oil?

I use it. I've inspected with a bore scope.
I have seen the marketing speak. As for you tube. Its probably the worse source of information in cyberspace.
YouTube is a platform. It has both very in depth and well thought out studies as well as drivel from shills. There are many videos on YouTube showing evidence of Red Armor cleaning, as well as on forums. So far, all I’ve heard is someone claim Red Armor doesn’t clean without any evidence to back up that claim. The videos show the proof, and I’ve experienced it as well. You don’t have to like or use the product, but to make baseless claims helps no one.

There are plenty of videos and posts showing PEA additives (Fuel System Cleaner) removing deposits / carbon off of pistons, valves and injectors. Before & after pics / video, difference in fuel mileage and engine running (misfires).

Good, post a link to one or show me your results. What I have seen are claims with no visual evidence.

In my expiereance the only thing that will remove carbon from a two cycle piston crown is running the motor excessively rich while under heavy load. In time this will wash thr crown clean.

When I get a chance I will get some more Red Armor and document via pictures what the engine looked like before and what it looked like after with bore scope pictures.

BTW this motor has for most of its 5 year life ran on Red Armor starting from new. Its a decent oil, bu the stuff isnt magic. There are other cleaner oils out there.

People make all sorts of claims that are BS. That and people flat out lie.
I ran a test some time back with pictures using Techron after a member of this forum claimed on another site that Techron cleaned up his Stihl 4mix engine. The results where that it did nothing and this included letting it soak in Techron for days and running a treat right 5 times the suggested in the fuel.
If you want to soak something use straight gasoline or Berryman B-12. However, be careful with the second one because is a very string and toxic solvent and also may chew up rubber and silicone seals and gaskets.

Also, B-12 in the gas would make your gasoline more volatile which is not really good in the summer.

Gasoline will not dissolve carbon off a piston. I dont think Berrymans will either, but to be fair I havent tried it.

Gasoline may not do very well with carbon deposits because is mostly for dissolving oils. But B-12 soak is proven to dissolve sludge an carbon deposits. You can try it on an old part or piston. B-12 is the cheapest cleaner after gasoline.
You just have to be careful to cover the container where the soaking is done and to keep it away from kids, animals and sparks. After that I usually through away the solution (about 5-6 oz) on the back alley and it evaporates for minutes.

Are you talking about the Berrymans carb dip? If not which product?

Beryman's B-12 Chemtool Fuel Injector Cleaner

"Berryman B-12 Chemtool Fuel Injector Cleaner is a powerful solvent-based additive that quickly dissolves gum, varnish, and carbon deposits throughout your fuel system."

Exactly. It's like saying "Google sucks" because they followed a link from a Google search one time to an unhelpful blog post once. There is extremely high quality content on Youtube. You just have to have a few brain cells to rub together to discern whether it's worth watching or not.

I have better things to do than sort through the garbage there. Most of the content is terrible as in the majority of it.
