While I kid around about this all the time it is true, my mech told me he wished all jugs had this pour feature. Me, I like being able to tell it hasn't been tampered with right on the shelf.Valvoline has the better jug.
I'm assuming both have the same SP rating. I'm really just seeking opinions on Valvoline's top rated 0w0 vs. Pennzoil's (which at one time was very highly regarded here.)The ratings will tell you the performance between the two?

That is worth a lot. Funnel not really required.Valvoline has the better jug.
PUP 0w-20 has the SP/GF-6 approval on my jug.You will have to check the Ultra to see. I know the Valvoline has the latest SP.
What's the vehicle/engine? No Turbo, GDI, or both should be run for 7500 on 0W-20... or any ILSAC lube for that matter. I don't care if it has gold flakes in it as soot and fuel dilution will chew through the oil and then move on to the bearings.Since neither Valvoline nor SOPUS are marketing these as extended drain oils...which would you prefer for a normal MM OCI in a vehicle spec'd for 0w20? I'm thinking of about a 7500 mile OCI.
Can you link to that chart? I’d love to see how quality can be quantitatively compared within a license or approval.Probably the Ultra for me...just from everything I've read it's considered to be an oil that can almost hang with the boutique brands, in terms at least in the comparison charts put out by Amsoil a few years back. But who knows? Both are considered to be the flagship oils of their respective brands. The Valvoline appears to have a very stout add pack too. The Ultra has the GTL and add pack.

The application is a Mazda 2.5 'Skyactive' in a 21 CX-30. I'm really just curious if people think that Valvoline's EP is as good as PUP...both are reasonably priced at WM online.
I doubt there will be a difference over the life of the engine . I remember people here used to say Pennzoil Yellow bottle was the best oil that cleaned. Looking at the uoas and voas the add packages were similar to other similar tier oils. We seem to forget that despite marketing claims oil basically keeps the parts separated and to meet the specs is must past rigorous testing. .These days manufactures usually don't give away any more than they have to .I'm assuming both have the same SP rating.
