OCI's once a year will only cost me only $45 (DIY cost of M1+filter)and the workshop have been charging me $73 X twice a year--I get to save $100 a year. Wow, if I can drag that for 2 years I get to save $247 and that work shop have been billing $247 for the last 15 years.

First I will do an UOA with the previous old oil (keep some in a clean bottle)and will drain some with the latest oil change after 9 months and do a UOA I may even be able to keep going for another 12 or 24 months

I would normally find a way to fill it and keep the extra for next time. It is true that anywhere between full and add it fine, but the closer it gets fo add, the more you need to check or look for problems from Murphy's law.
There is no standard of how much is between the lines. I have two pickups where there is only 1/2 qt between the marks, another where there 3 qts between full and add. Once it gets low it can pick up air in fast corners, fast braking, fast acceleration, steep hills, or whatever.
