using delo 500 in 89 nissan gas engine?

i have used delo500 15w40 in a chevy and jeep before but never in a nissan z24i 4cyl it has slowed down my oil consumption in the chevy i had and my nissan is smoking after idling im currently using castrol hm 10w40 but its still using a little not much was wondering if the delo would help it any or hurt it thanks for info truck has 189k miles and runs fine just smokes lil at idle and leaks lil around oil pan

It's very good oil, just a bit thick for most modern cars.

500 is a product down here...think it became Delo Silver some time back.

thanks i have always used it when my vehicle starts to use oil but never in a nissan it has almost stopped my other vehicles from using oil and its fairly cheap $10 a gallon here
