Pretty smug here.

Am somewhat able to predict the human condition and stay one step ahead of them.

What's coming to the people who have it coming, is coming. (here?)

Indeed.

I went to Carl's Jr tonight and was amazed that the Super Star was still at $4.00 even after tax; I was expecting to pay a diesel sir charge.

Early 60's for me. I think it was still around a quarter. I found the height of the Cold War exciting as a kid. I obviously didn't grasp the severity of things, but I saw a much more orderly and united people. Probably just my impressions.

It was also more fun to hang your head out the window to catch a whiff of fuel being put in the tank. Ethyl ..oh, how I miss her.

Sorta like I do now-a-days, watching the Daily Show instead of network news, I used to follow the Cuban Missile crisis in Pogo. Krustchev was a pig and Castro was a goat. The day JFK was shot, I can remember going home and working on my bicycle. I thought that getting shot was an occupational hazard for presidents.

But they get to sell their grease for more money now to make biodiesel. You're getting ripped off; they should be subsidizing your burger even more now!
