Timing belt, water pump, plugs, valve check/ adjust, serpentine belt.

Started life to 50K with a variety of SN- SN+ oils following the Honda Maintenance Minder (7-9K) I figured that would be enough.

Expecting to find nothing, I ran a quart of HPL cleaner and discovered carbon material in the filter so I switched to HPL full time.

Been running HPL 0w-20 / 5W-30 for 50K.

I'm quite happy with this.

I dare you to extend the oil change interval to 20,000 miles and take more pictures.

If I didnt tow and haul with it all the time and just used it as a passenger vehicle I absolutely would.

It'd probably be fine anyway.

Have you continued to find carbon in the filters since running HPL?

Not that I have seen.

I cut open every filter.

I'm running off my old school stash of Fru's and keep them in for 20K so Im on my 3rd one now.
It's a little hard to see with the wire mesh in that filter unless I go all the way and rip it out which I did the first time but not the second.
I nearly cry when I cut them up and they look like they could run another 20, and Ive only got 6 left between 2 vehicles.

That looks immaculate! Well done!

Thanks. I just changed oil a couple of times. If it weren't for your original discovery I probably wouldn't have bothered.

Having cut all previous filters and found nothing, I was surprised when looking at dome full of gunk and dirty pleats the first time.
I expected boutique would have little value for me, and was truly surprised when discovery proved otherwise.

Leslie Rudnick, David Ward and the team over at HPL did the lions share of the work here with these great formulations and access to them for questions. I get the BITOG specials, and buy on Hoildays so I'd guess this all cost less than a trip to the quick lube for their " good stuff".
