I recently did a DC2 type R swap in my 94' Integra GSR and the motor showed signs of having water inside probably due to pressure washing and having sat up for sometime. Once the "white" fluid was drained from the transmission and replaced with Castrol Edge 10W40 I noticed that when shifting down to 1&2 gears with clutch fully depressed that there was some slight grinding as if the synchronizers weren't fully braking the spinning gears. My question is whether any of the "synchromesh" fluids might fix this and whether or not they would be detrimental to the lifespan of the transmission internals? And which product has the best results overall?
