two different ratios - can I use 45:1?

Echo blower uses 50:1
Craftsman weed eater uses 40:1

Is it okay to mix 45:1 and use in both?

Or do I need to buy another 1 gallon can?

I would use 50:1 in both and let the weed eater run a bit rich..... I would not skimp on 2 stroke oil... IMO that is asking for trouble....

40:1 in everything. Really if you're mixing one gallon at a time you're not able to be that exact anyway.

50:1 IMO is skimping but I really doubt it would matter.

Do you have the tools to adjust the mixture screws anyway?

Does the Echo have a catalytic muffler? If so, I would probably stick to 50:1 for it, though I doubt 45:1 would do serious damage.

I sometimes mix up a batch somewhere between 40:1 and 50:1 to use in everything, sometimes I buy engineered fuel, sometimes I mix different grades of engineered fuel if I'm running low, and a couple times I've mixed it in the equipment's gas tank. I go through a fair amount of 2 stroke gas though and the four engines I have that use it are kind of cheap/free stuff I don't care that much about. That said, I've never had a fuel/oil related problem with my 2 strokes.

I buy Echo oil and mix it 50:1 (I was told to do this by an Echo/Lawn Boy/Toro dealer.) I use it in everything, including my 40:1 Weedeater trimmer (it actually runs better at 50:1) my 32:1 chain saws, cultivator, and Lawn Boy mower. Have done this for several years without any issues.
