TV's for Super Bowl.

Yep. Funny how commercials snuck in anyhow. Go figure, follow the money.

Something I just noticed the other day, on youtube: there was a couple channels that I had been watching, decided to “subscribe”. Now when I watch videos there, commercials pop up at various points. Now I did not take notes, pre and post subscribing, but I would swear, after subscribing I started getting more commercials, on that subscribed channel. No surprise… follow the money.
Adblock plus is the answer :)

I'm going retro.
Got a Philco pedestal Black/White T.V.
I never leave the room with it running. Like H.I.D. lighting, there is something just cool about high voltage.

This is where it has to either be stupidly-obvious sarcasm, or you have to end your post with “/s” as if you were using markup language and closing out a bit of formatting. Or best, end with a smilie face, either just a : ) (no space) or pick one of the cooler ones, the yellow circle with shades on, etc.

Most of the time, a well written parody is seen for what it is. But too often it’s misunderstood. So, for the cost of a couple more ASCII characters, you can cement intent in how you end a post.

:)
FYI, I took @atikovi post as funny sarcasm. You are spot on that the written word can be read many ways, so perhaps a little clarification may go a long way. And if someone takes my post wrong, a simple apology works for me. All good in the BITOG hood...

I thought just watching the video gets them a cut? Isn't that why some people say they don't click on any Scotty Kilmer videos?
Yes. But. They get more, I believe, if subscribers watch.

I don’t know the system. But people are making money from this—my right hand man left an engineering job to go full time on youtube. Ad placement in the vid, links in the description, lots of things he can and does do to make the money. He tried to explain a bit of it to me, it sounds convoluted, but thats how marketing works, eh?

Recently bought an LG C2 along with a Sonos Arc and Sonos One speakers. Never had surround sound before and the shows/movies with Dolby Atmos are fantastic. Debating whether it’s worth it, sound wise, to get the subwoofer but the Arc does a nice job with the bass.
We are debating ARK, Sony 5000A or 7000 A
Strongly leaning to the ARK more recently.
We are still months away as our new house gets completed

That's sad and awful for people to do that.
I'm all for imprisoning people and bankrupting companies that do that. Throw 10-15k people in jail and fine the manufacturer tens of billions. I guarantee that will stop immediately
