I stopped in the local Dollar Store (Vestal, NY)a couple of days ago and there was no oil of any kind on the shelves. I asked an employee guy if they had any oil and he said that they can't buy it cheaply enough to make a profit selling it for a buck. He also said that he doubted they would be selling any oil in the future. FWIW. Thanks.

still 1.12 at my local Wal-Mart and apparently being re-stocked very frequently my guess is it won't stay at that price very long

chevron, shell, etc are on sale weekly for under $1/qt after rebate. [I dont know] gas on the other hand may soon go over a $1/qt here.

Hmmm..then you'll need an oil burner. What's the btu content of a quart of motor oil [Confused] [Big Grin]

Better get what's left, while it lasts. Like I said in another post, even though the Dollar Trees around here only have the dino oils left, at $1 a bottle, it's still a ****ed good deal.

Sorry, I didn't realize "about" was a difficult concept. Let me elaborate-as the cost of crude oil, transportation and labor all increase, the opportunity to purchase quality oil for less than $1/quart will slowly diminish until it's seldom or never seen. You'll note that I didn't say you couldn't find it at those prices currently.
