Traded in S22 ultra for s24 ultra

We purchased an unlocked S22 ultra direct from Samsung for the wife at launch in early 2022. The trade-in offers for the s23 and 24 at launch were lukewarm at best so we didn't upgrade.

I was browsing the Samsung app this weekend and saw they had a sale on the s24 ultra with a free upgrade to 512GB and were offering $700 trade for the S22U. They also had a veterans program offer where they threw in a Galaxy watch 6 for free. It cost $539 after trade for a $1400 MSRP phone and a watch.

I can sell the watch for $200 so the net cost for a flagship phone will be about $350. Not a bad deal for a replacement of a nearly 3 year old flagship phone.

The s25 launch will be in a few months, but l don't anticipate any groundbreaking changes. This was too good of a deal to pass up.

Heck of a deal. I always tell folks the best time to buy a new phone is the months leading up to the next phone generations. Lots of carriers trying to get rid of the "old" stock so deals can be had left and right

I use good lock on my Flip 5. I like the Samsung modes and routines. I have one set to keep phone unlocked, Bluetooth and location off when connected to home Wi-Fi. Another one turns location on and off when certain apps are opened and closed. The possibilities are endless.

The Ultra’s are nice phones would go as far to say king of the Android world in my eyes.
