Can anyone help me with this, I'm getting nowhere. Also what am I doing wrong in searching for an OA of this oil that I can't find it? I'm using advanced search and selecting oil analysis forums and searching for toyota and I can't find any posted for Toyota oil.

I did a search for "Toyota 0W20" in advanced search and selecting virgin oil analysis - PCMO/HDEO, also change the date range to 2 years, there are many posts came up.

The following are VOA's by Dyson of both the original Nippon OIl made product and the current EOM made Toyota 0W-20:

Thanks! I appreciate it, been reading here all day.

Are there any reports of increased valve chatter at start up with this oil? I really want to get pressure and temp gauges for my oil. I use an ultra-gauge which gives some useful data but not the oil numbers in my car.

The cSt of the Hyundai recommended 5w-20 oil is 8.68. What OCI would you consider ideal for use in my Elantra with Toyota 0w-20 oil seeing how it shears to a lower number, given I drive mostly highway miles and lots of them? Would a UOA after one fill be useful or would you wait until the second, if I am happy and use it a second time? 7500k is suggested for normal use so is max for warranty period.

I have never seen this "red bottle" Toyota 0w-20 that keeps getting mentioned. My servicing dealer only stocks the Toyota 0w-20 in the black bottles with a greenish label.

The following is from a post by Caterham:

I have run the original Nippon Oil made Toyota Brand 0W-20.
I'm currently trying the Idemitsu made Honda Brand 0W-20 which is a much heavier oil to the Toyota product.
I have some of the current EOM made Toyota 0W-20 in my stash that I will probabily try next, but based on VOAs it appears to be identical to the original Nippon Oil made product. EOM even uses the same moly additive imported from Japan in the formulation of the Toyota oil.

The original Nippon oil is the red bottle I believe, assuming Canadian and U.S. products are the same packaging, and I am buying an old case of oil I found, about a year old I was told.

In Toyota applications the recommended OCI is 10,000 miles for the synthetic Toyota 0W-20 so I would go the 7,500k OCI.

Yes I'd wait until the second fill to do a UOA if do it at all.
Since you're using a discontinued oil from the original formulator (as much as I like it) you won't likely be able to get any more so what value will a UOA have?
Use the case you scored and enjoy.
